Alex McKnight, M.D.

Dr. Alex McKnight joined Alpine Ear Nose & Throat in 2020. Dr. McKnight grew up in Fremont, NE and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame, graduating Maga Cum Laude. He went on to complete medical school at the University of Nebraska, graduating in the top 1%. Following this he received his Otolaryngology-Head/Neck Surgery training at Wake Forest in North Carolina, a perennial top 30 US News ranked program.  

Growing up as the son of a small-town physician, he understands the long lasting personal relationships that can develop between doctor and patient. He strives to provide up to date evidence to patients, while providing a treatment plan tailored to each individual patient. Dr. McKnight practices the entire breadth of otolaryngology, from infants to adults. He specializes in disorders of the structure and function of the nose, paranasal sinus disorders, ear disorders, voice and swallowing problems, as well as head and neck cancer. He has a particular interest in nasal reconstruction and nasal airway surgery. He also has a passion for reducing medical errors and providing safe patient care and has served on hospital committees for patient safety. 

Outside of work, Dr. McKnight enjoys spending time with his wife and 4 children. They enjoy being outside as much as possible (hiking, skiing/snowboarding, baseball, youth soccer). His wife spent her childhood in Colorado, and they are excited to call Northern Colorado home.
